According to reports, Premier League side Manchester United are allegedly watching closely Italian right full-back, Davide Calabria, as the Red Devils seek a long-term successor for Antonio Valencia.

As per latest claims from Daily Mirror, United are in search of a long-term replacement for skipper Antonio Valencia in the forthcoming transfer window and have identified AC Milan defender Davide Calabria as a likely candidate.

Valencia is expected to bring a stop to his ten-year spell at Old Trafford with the Red Devils at the end of the campaign when his contract with the club runs out.

Temporary Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently hinted directly that the South American will head out of Old Trafford in the next few months.

As a result, the Red Devils have been linked with a transfer for Rossoneri defender Davide Calabria. The Italian’s representative recently confirmed the Red Devils interest in signing his client and the story from the Daily Mirror claim that the Premier League side are continuing to monitor the 22-year-old full-back.

Davide came through the youth ranks at Serie A side AC Milan, breaking into the first team squad in 2015, and has since proven himself as a consistent figure in the first-team in time past.

So far, the player has featured 79 matches for San Siro based club – 27 of the appearances came in the 2018-2019 campaign – scoring on two occasions and creating five more goals.
